 Dr. Ena Valikov, DVM
University of California, Davis Graduate
Dr. Ena recognized her passion for pets as a
6-year old. She was rescuing stray dogs and cats and ‘fixing’
them as a child in Russia and she rarely met a dog that she
disliked. She began working as a veterinary assistant cleaning
kennels and answering phones in high school. Without giving away
her age completely, she will tell you she is working in the field
of vet medicine for nearly 30 years.
Her 14-year professional experience after she
graduated from UC Davis has shaped her into a go-getter
veterinarian but with a heart.

Mercedes
Astorga
Hospital Assistant and Kennel Technician
Thanks to Mercedes, our Hospital is maintained well and looks
great. She was away for a while and all of us realized her great
value to the Hospital and to the patients. Mercedes is a simple
and caring lady and devotes most of her time taking care of the
boarded pets.
She is another one of the shy people around but is only shy
with people; with pets it's a different ballgame for her.
Chris
Jelski
Receptionist
Chris is a hard working receptionist and takes care of all the
pets in the back Saturdays. He is learning about dog training
and helping pets with behavioral issues. When not working, Chris
hangs out with his brother Richard and friends or practicing
with his drums in a band with Natalie. His favorites are Death
Metal, jazz and blues.
Richard
Jelski
Receptionist
Richard Jelski's multi-tasking skills and love for animals make
him a valuable asset as a team member. Richard has been a
veterinary assistant and receptionist at Bellflower Veterinary
Hospital for the past two years. He has taken interest in
behavioral issues of pets along with Chris.
More recently he has taken an interest in hospital network
administration. Richard has two dogs (Cuddles and Snowy), an Iguana
named Nosey and a cocktail named Baby. In his free time, Richard
enjoys reading science fiction, skating at the beach and playing
video games until his eyes pop out of their sockets.
